How PWI, Inc. collects, uses, and protects information submitted through this website.

PWI, Inc. ("PWI," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we collect when you visit pwi-e.com, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information. PWI is a manufacturer of aviation LED lighting, precision coil windings, and electronic components; an FAA- and EASA-approved repair station (FAA Repair Station PJ2R085L; EASA.145.5092); and an engineering and contract manufacturing services provider, headquartered at 109 South Knight Street, Wichita, Kansas 67213 USA.
We collect information in two ways: details you choose to submit through our forms, and limited technical information created when you browse the site.
Information you submit. Depending on the form you use, this may include:
- General Inquiry: name, email address, phone number, company name, inquiry type, product or system of interest, your message, and how you heard about us.
- Quote Requests: name, email address, phone number, company name, aircraft model and serial number, product or part number of interest, your message, and how you heard about us.
- Newsletter Sign-Up: name, email address, phone number (optional), and product areas of interest.
If you begin newsletter sign-up from our homepage, your email is stored briefly in your browser session while you complete the sign-up form on our Newsletter Sign-Up page, which opens next (it is not added to the page address).
Technical and usage information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps) for security and operation. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects aggregated data about how visitors use the site — such as which pages are viewed and whether a visitor scanned one of our printed product QR codes. Site search runs in your browser; search terms may appear in the page address and in server logs. If you use our language translation feature, page content is processed by Google Translate as described below.
We do not collect payment card numbers or financial account information through this website. Orders and payments are handled separately through our sales team and accounting.
We use the information you provide solely for business purposes related to your inquiry or request, including to:
- Respond to quote requests, sales inquiries, and support questions.
- Send product updates, news, and promotions if you have signed up for our newsletter.
- Process and fulfill orders when applicable.
- Improve our website and communications based on feedback.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for any reason.
This website offers optional page translation through Google Translate. If you select a language other than English, Google may process the text of the page you are viewing and set cookies (such as googtrans) to remember your language choice. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy policy. Translation is optional; you can use the site in English without selecting another language.
This website uses cookies and browser storage to remember your preferences and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use the site. A cookie preference banner appears on your first visit — you can accept analytics cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your choices at any time. Your preference is stored in your browser. When consent audit logging is enabled, we also record that choice in a compliance log (timestamp, page visited, cookie policy version, and your analytics/marketing selections); that log does not include your name or email address.
Google Analytics code is present on our pages, but analytics cookies and stored analytics data are used only if you accept analytics cookies. Until then, analytics storage remains disabled through Google Consent Mode. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or behavioral advertising tools.

We do not sell or share your personal information with outside parties except in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors that assist us in operating our website or conducting our business, including website hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), optional translation (Google Translate), and email marketing providers, subject to confidentiality obligations and only as needed to provide their services.
- Legal Requirements: When disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information you submit against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this statement, our business records, warranty and support obligations, and applicable legal requirements.
If you have signed up for PWI product updates or newsletters, you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or by contacting us directly at sales@pwi-e.com. We will remove your information from our mailing list promptly.
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to applicable legal obligations.
- Request restriction of processing of your information in certain circumstances (for example, while we verify a correction request or while you contest the lawfulness of processing).
- Object to processing of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests* as the legal basis, including objecting to the use of your information for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent for communications at any time.
* Legitimate interest is a legal basis under GDPR meaning the processing is necessary for our business purposes, so it does not require your separate consent.
Personal data available for editing or deletion is held in our customer marketing platform. This is subject to change as we update our systems — this Privacy Statement will be updated when that occurs.
Please note that aircraft transaction regulations governing the aviation industry require PWI to retain certain transactional and order records regardless of personal data requests. Information held in PWI's transactional or order records is maintained for legal, regulatory, and warranty purposes and is not available for user editing or deletion.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, email privacy@pwi-e.com. To protect your information, we will ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. For correction requests, please include your revised information in your email. PWI will access your marketing record and respond within 30 days. Where applicable, your data will be provided as a CSV file (Excel-compatible spreadsheet format). We will notify you by email once your request has been fulfilled.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect about you and to request deletion of that information. To submit a request, email privacy@pwi-e.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
This website is operated from the United States. If you submit information from outside the US, your information will be processed here in accordance with this Privacy Statement. When analytics cookies are accepted, data is also processed by Google Analytics, which may store data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. If you use Google Translate, page content may be processed by Google. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers from the European Union and United Kingdom. This website is intended for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received such information, we will delete it promptly.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, PWI will take the following steps:
- Investigate and contain the breach as quickly as possible.
- Notify affected individuals by email within a reasonable timeframe once the scope of the breach is known.
- Report the breach to relevant authorities where required by law — including within 72 hours under GDPR for EU residents, and as required under applicable US state laws.
- Provide details of what information was affected, what steps we have taken, and what you can do to protect yourself.

We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this statement periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
This Privacy Statement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions (meaning Kansas law applies even if another state's or country's laws might otherwise seem relevant to your situation).
