What cookies we use on pwi-e.com, why we use them, and how to manage your preferences.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (phone, tablet, or desktop computer) when you visit a website. They help the site remember choices you have already made — such as your language preference or whether you have already seen a notice — so you are not asked to make those same choices again each time you load a new page.
Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Each cookie can only be read by the website that set it. The Google Analytics cookies on our site are set for pwi-e.com, so other websites cannot read them. Some Google services we use, such as Google Translate and Google reCAPTCHA, may also set their own cookies, as described below.
The first time you visit pwi-e.com, a banner at the bottom of the screen asks about optional cookies. You can choose Accept all cookies, Reject all cookies, or Cookie settings to decide for yourself. Closing the banner with × is the same as rejecting optional cookies.
Your choice is saved in your browser, so the banner won't appear again unless we make an important change to this policy or you clear this site's data from your browser.
We also keep a record each time you make or change a choice: the date and time, the page you were on, and whether you allowed analytics cookies. It does not include your name or email address.
Google Analytics is on every page of our site. It sets analytics cookies only if you accept them. Even if you don't accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics still sends Google some basic information each time you view a page, such as the page address, but without using cookies.
Our Google Analytics account is linked to our Google Ads accounts. Because of this, when you view one of our Contact pages, Google Analytics also sends a cookie-free signal to Google's advertising measurement service, whatever your cookie choice. This can also happen on our "page not found" page if you follow an outdated link to one of our LED lighting pages. Our website always tells Google that advertising cookies and personalized advertising are not allowed.

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies. (See Your Cookie Choice for the cookie-free signal sent from our Contact pages.)
Record of your cookie choice (Functional). This is kept by PWI, not stored on your device. It holds the details described under Your Cookie Choice, is stored using Google's services, and is kept according to PWI's internal records policy.
You can change your cookie choice at any time with the button below. Your new choice takes effect right away.
If you turn analytics cookies off after accepting them, Google Analytics stops using cookies from then on. Cookies it already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them.
To reset all of your choices, clear this site's data in your browser settings. This also resets the Get Updates prompt and your language choice, and the cookie banner will appear again on your next visit.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their privacy settings. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of the site from working, such as remembering your choices. See your browser's help pages for steps.
If you visit from the European Union or United Kingdom, we rely on these legal grounds under the GDPR:
- Necessary: legitimate interest*. Needed for the site to work, including remembering your cookie choice. This also covers Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our forms from spam. These cannot be turned off.
- Functional: legitimate interest*. Remembers your Get Updates and language choices, and keeps the record of your cookie choice. Language cookies are used only if you use the language menu.
- Analytics: your consent. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them.
If we ever add marketing or advertising cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
* Legitimate interest means we have a genuine reason to use this information, such as running our website and business or providing something you asked for, and that reason does not override your privacy rights.
You can withdraw your consent at any time using the Open cookie settings button above.
PWI, Inc. is based in Wichita, Kansas, USA. If you visit from outside the United States, information you send us through this website is processed in the US, as described in our Privacy Statement.
Some features of our site use Google services, which may process data outside your country, including in the United States:

- Google Translate, if you use the language menu
- Google reCAPTCHA, on our contact, quote and Get Updates pages

Google LLC takes part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
We use these outside services:
- Google Analytics sets cookies only if you accept analytics cookies. It is linked to our Google Ads accounts. See Your Cookie Choice for the cookie-free information it sends to Google, including from our Contact pages.
- Google Translate may set cookies if you use the language menu.
- Google reCAPTCHA helps block spam on our contact, quote and Get Updates forms, and may set its own cookies.
- jsDelivr and cdnjs (cdnjs is run by Cloudflare) are public code libraries. Our site search loads code from jsDelivr, and our PDF viewer loads code from cdnjs. They only deliver code to your browser and do not set PWI cookies.
The Google services are covered by Google's privacy policy. The record of your cookie choice is also stored using Google's services.
PWI does not sell or share personal data collected through cookies with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. There is currently no industry-wide standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, pwi-e.com does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. You can control cookie usage directly through our preference banner or your browser settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to what cookies we use, your stored preference will be cleared and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
