Cookies are used on pwi-e.com, why they are used, and how you manage your preferences.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device (phone, tablet, or desktop computer) when you visit a website. They help the site remember choices you have already made — such as your language preference or whether you have already seen a notice — so you are not asked to make those same choices again each time you load a new page.
Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Each cookie can only be read by the domain that created it — though third-party services we use, such as Google Analytics, set their own cookies that they can read across any site using their service.
When you visit pwi-e.com for the first time, a cookie preference banner appears at the bottom of the screen. Your choice is saved in your browser and remembered on future visits. PWI site administrators may also enable an internal compliance log to record that choice (timestamp, page visited, cookie policy version, and your analytics/marketing selections). That log does not include your name or email address.
Google Analytics code is present on our pages, but analytics cookies and stored analytics data are used only if you accept analytics cookies. Until then, analytics storage remains disabled through Google Consent Mode.
The banner does not reappear on subsequent visits unless our policy changes or you clear your browser storage.

You can also clear all saved preferences by deleting pwi_cookie_consent from your browser's localStorage (in most browsers: DevTools → Application → Local Storage → pwi-e.com).

For visitors from the European Union or United Kingdom, our use of cookies is based on the following legal grounds under GDPR:
- Necessary cookies: Legitimate interest* — these are required for basic site functionality and cannot be disabled.
- Functional cookies: Legitimate interest* — used when you choose to translate page content via Google Translate. You can avoid them by not using the language picker.
- Analytics cookies: Consent — these are only activated after you accept via the cookie preference banner.
- Marketing cookies: Consent — no marketing cookies are currently in use. If introduced in the future, explicit consent will be required.
* Legitimate interest is a legal basis under GDPR meaning the processing is necessary for the site to function, so it does not require your separate consent.
You may withdraw consent at any time by updating your preferences using the button in the Managing Your Preferences section above.
When analytics cookies are enabled, data is processed by Google Analytics, which may transfer and store data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. If you use Google Translate, page content and related data may also be processed by Google. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for international data transfers. For more information, see Google's privacy policy.
PWI, Inc. is based in Wichita, Kansas, USA. If you are visiting from outside the United States, please be aware that any information you submit through this website will be processed in the US in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics may set cookies when you accept analytics preferences. Google Translate may set cookies when you use the site language picker. Both are governed by Google's privacy policy. Our site search page loads a search library from jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net); that connection does not set PWI cookies. PWI does not sell or share personal data collected through cookies with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that signals to websites that you do not want your online activity tracked. There is currently no industry-wide standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, pwi-e.com does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. You can control cookie usage directly through our preference banner or your browser settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to what cookies we use, your stored preference will be cleared and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
